Hi, I’m Brigitte Phillips
At the heart of my work is deep empathy—I’m here to really listen, without judgment, and to understand what it's like to walk in your shoes. But I also believe that growth can come with lightness, humour, and even moments of laughter. Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or overly serious; it can be real, human, and even a little bit fun. I earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management, but after a change of heart, I pursued and completed a master's degree in Psychology. I had the incredible opportunity to intern with a renowned psychiatrist based in Nasik, which provided me with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the field. My passion lies in working with children, teenagers, and young adults, and I’ve been fortunate to gain meaningful experience as a school psychologist. Currently based in Nasik, I also offer online counseling sessions. Mental health counsellor provides a confidential, safe space for people to discuss their thoughts and feelings. This can be incredibly helpful in understanding why you feel or think the way you do. Counselling can also help you learn how to cope with difficult emotions. Understanding your emotions and learning how to cope with them is important to lead a healthy, balanced life. When we understand our feelings, we can identify unhealthy patterns and behaviours contributing to our mental health issues. With this knowledge, we can make proactive and positive changes to improve our well-being. SoulFlow therapy sessions are a very safe and secure space/environment to unleash your most haunting thoughts, all sessions here are kept very confidential only between the psychologist (me) and client (you). Being your true self, will help you to express yourself better without being judged. The goal is to create a connection with your mind to give it help and confidence to work with you. It is hard to say how many sessions it should take since each case is unique. There can be similarities, but they are never the same. The client’s background, emotional quotient, personal circumstances, and other factors have infinite possibilities. It may be difficult to determine the initial required number of sessions. But sessions should not last more than an hour. And it is also important that only a few issues are tackled to give both parties time to absorb and digest the conversation. Many clients feel uncomfortable when a counselor writes something and becomes guarded with what they say as a defensive mechanism. When patients feel they need to watch what they say, they lie. It is counterproductive to the treatment as a whole. Individual counselling is a medical procedure. It has to be handled with professionalism and care. Helping someone suffering from a mental, social, or psychological problem is noble and rewarding, but handling it wrong can lead to unintended and severe consequences.
